About

Jo Farrugia is a UK Casting Director with over twenty years in film and television. She's currently casting BLOOD ON SNOW — Cary Fukunaga's crime thriller starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Eva Green and Aaron Taylor-Johnson — and THE CADBURYS, BritBox's six-part drama on the Cadbury chocolate dynasty, starring Harry Gilby, Toby Regbo and Joanna Scanlan.

She started out in Los Angeles, casting the Ashton Kutcher feature A LOT LIKE LOVE, before building a UK body of work that spans features, TV and shorts: HOW TO BUILD A GIRL, ROCKS, SUFFRAGETTE, STAN AND OLLIE, WILD ROSE, JANE EYRE, CALENDAR GIRLS, MADE IN DAGENHAM and COTTONTAIL, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival in 2023. She spent two seasons as Casting Researcher on THE CROWN.

Short film is where she keeps coming back — recent credits include THE BICYCLE THIEF, BIRDS, BEBE AI and LET IT FLOW, several of them award-winning.

Next up: NOT LIKE US, the BFI-funded TRINIDAD REMAINS, and ESCAPE ROOM.
